A little about Little Blueberry

Little Blueberry was founded in 2025 when a gap in parent education and the want to do more was explored and identified. Parents of this generation want to do more from the get go; they are reading more books, listening to more podcasts, watching more videos and constantly trying to learn more before their little one gets here. The learning still doesn't stop, once their precious ones are here, parents are still looking for resources on how to support their child's development, how to engage with them, and how to make them the best version of themselves. As our lives have evolved, parents and caregivers wants and need to be the better version of themselves has too, and that's where the idea of Little Blueberry began.

Little Blueberry was founded by Samra Mansoor, M.Ed., who has extensive experience in early childhood settings, Samra is a Speech Therapy specialist, a Communicative Disorders Assistant, and a Paediatric Developmental Consultant. She holds a Master's Degree in Developmental Psychology from the Ontario Institute of Education at the University of Toronto. Samra works directly with parents and families to support overall healthy development from 0 months up to the age of 6. She has an intensive knowledge of child development and the impact of parent and caregiver interactions with children.

As a new parent in 2024 and someone who has worked with parents and listened to their concerns for years, Samra understood that as parents want to do more, there isn't a simple and easily accessible way for parents to carry out all that they learn. New parents don't have time to pick up and open a book, they don't have the energy to go out and get new materials, and they don't have the same focus as they once did. I found parents saving and scouring for resources and guides, saving parenting videos on social media but never coming back to it and actually implementing it. I heard parents saying all the time "I feel like i'm not doing enough".

We knew there had to be a better way for parents to have accessible research based tips and activities at their fingertips, and that's how Little Blueberry and the "Baby Deck" became to be.

It allows for parents to have a simple, easy to grab resource for them to learn and apply these tips and exercises with their little ones while supporting healthy overall development. It empowers them to monitor their child's development and continue to challenge it.
